About
Specializing in oral history transcription, Technitype Transcripts was founded by Deborah Lattimore in 1982. Beginning her career at the U.S. Naval Institute in Annapolis, Maryland, Deborah received extensive and thorough training in oral history transcription and indexing from Dr. John T. Mason, Jr., former director of the U.S. Naval Institute Oral History Program, and Paul Stillwell, Dr. Mason’s successor and well-known author.
Since 1982, Technitype has been honored to work with hundreds of world-renowned oral historians and organizations, including The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society, White House Historical Association, NASA, and the Smithsonian Institution.
We value our client partnerships and bring to each project a deep respect for the value of oral history, the life story of each interviewee, and the importance of capturing each story accurately. We are committed to delivering highly reliable and accurate service and are very proud of the trust our clients place in us.
We hope to have the opportunity to work with you on your project.
